Welcome to Special Kids Crusade!
Special Kids Crusade is a private, parent-founded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children with disabilities and their families residing in Monterey County.
Working collaboratively with parents and the community, Special Kids Crusade was created to serve children with developmental
disabilities, age birth to 21, with conditions such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Mental Retardation,
and other conditions related to Mental Retardation. Children with developmental disabilities remain at the core of our efforts,
as these children will require assistance throughout their lifetime due to complex neurobiological disorders. In March 2009, Special
Kids Crusade expanded its mission to encompass any child up to age 21 with a disability. Each child is unique in
his or her own disability, requiring programs and services tailored to their specific needs. Special Kids Crusade hopes to
ease the daily challenges that these children face, now and long into the future.
